ESP MAVERICK Series

A deep joint allows access to all 27 frets. A unique approach built with the use of guitarists who strive for perfection in guitar playing in mind.

The compact body shape of the MAVERICK, with its 27 frets, deep cutaway, oval neck joint, and backhand cut, dramatically improves playability at the higher frets. Furthermore, it’s equipped with a Floyd Rose tremolo, making it perfectly suited to technical playing styles.

Black cherry wood, a wood with new potential, is characterized by its distinct reddish-brown grain and moderate weight. In terms of sound, it combines the characteristics of alder and maple, producing a tight bass and pleasant mid-high frequencies, giving it a presence in a band ensemble.

Frets
The MAVERICK is the only guitar in the ESP Original Series to feature 27 frets, allowing for playing in ultra-high registers above two octaves. Furthermore, the use of stainless steel frets improves durability and ensures smooth fingering.

A new interpretation of cut neck that balances playability and sound. The bolt-on method, which uses bushings without a set plate, allows for relatively free shaping. The oval cut, an evolution of the ERGO, takes into account the balance between the backhand cut and waist cut, and by cutting only the minimum amount necessary to avoid interfering with playing, it achieves both the strength of the joint and the playability in the high positions that is a challenge for bolt-on types.

The output jack section features a boat-shaped plate recessed into the side of the body. Even when using a straight plug cable, the cable itself naturally faces towards the body end, preventing the plug from protruding from the body and thus preventing accidental disconnections.

Luminlay
The side position markers utilize Luminlay, a phosphorescent material, ensuring excellent visibility even on dark stages.
