Paul Reed Smith has been gaining tremendous support in the music scene in recent years!
This highly sought-after single-cut guitar boasts a LP-like look, a fatter tone, and PRS’s signature playability. It’s dated 12/31/01, right up until 2001! The back panel is signed by Paul Reed Smith, who wrote “NAMM 2002.” The beautiful 10-top quilted maple top boasts a vibrant blue matte finish and a rich grain pattern.
The exquisite 10-top quilted top, reminiscent of the surface of water, stands out against the Blue Mateo color. The arched top body with its lustrous outline, combined with a neck joint with a larger bond area than the double-cutaway model, produces a fuller, more dynamic sound. Not only does it look great, but the exquisite sound balance is truly impressive, placing it at the pinnacle of musical instrument performance. It delivers excellent resonance, sustain, and balance in any position, whether playing single notes or chords.
The pickups are #7 in both the neck and bridge positions. The covered #7 and open #6 pickups, developed for the single-cut model, are well-balanced pickups with an outstanding sound that was hailed as the best pickup in PRS history at the time.
The clear sound that is unique to low-turn models, yet with a balance of power that leaves no feeling of lack, makes it an excellent match with single cuts.
Combined with the direct feel of the Burbridge, the balanced sound makes this a masterpiece that can be used immediately regardless of genre or style!
We have a recommended used item in stock! The Eagle tag is dated 12-31-01, making it just before the 2001 production date. There’s also a signature by Paul Reed Smith on the back panel that reads NAMM 2002, so it’s possible that this guitar was exhibited at the 2002 Winter NAMM Show!
