Check it out! Look at these looks! Needless to say, the looks and specs are reminiscent of the RS guitar beloved by the legendary British rock band guitarist and astronomer! It is also known to be a favorite of top Japanese players such as Kazumi Watanabe and Masaki Matsubara.
This time, we have some rare second-hand items in stock that are likely custom-made!
There are some differences in the body shape, head shape, and other details, but as you can see, this is a masterpiece with looks and specs reminiscent of the RS guitar beloved by the legendary British rock band guitarist and astronomer! The production year is unknown, but we suspect it was made in the 2000s.
Since there are few spec sheets or detailed documentation, this is just a guess, but the wood material is likely a mahogany body with a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard set neck. The scale is long. The body produces a high-pitched sound when struck on the lower left side, so it is likely that the lower left side of the body has a partially chambered structure. The upper left side of the body sounds clogged. The weight is approximately 3.24 kg, making it a lightweight and well-balanced instrument.
The red color reminiscent of that beloved guitar and the one-ply black pickguard are irresistible!
The rich midrange provided by the mahogany-like wood is also excellent!
The neck grip of the Brian May Guitars Red Special reproduces the firm, thick neck grip preferred by Brian, who has large hands, but this Combat guitar has a soft V-style neck flip that is easy to grip and will be comfortable for anyone!
The pickups are probably not rewound like the original guitar, but they still feature three BURNS TRI-SONIC pickups, just like the ones on his original guitar!
The on/off/phase switches for each pickup are faithfully reproduced, just like the original guitarist’s!
Slide switches for on/off and phase for each pickup provide a wide range of tones.
The bridge is equipped with a roller saddle with two support points. The roller saddle ensures smooth arm movements even when using the arm!
The excellent quality of each part, which is unique to domestically produced models, makes this a very playable instrument, combining excellent tone and playability to create a high-grade masterpiece!
This time, we have rare, recommended player’s condition used items in stock!
There are small scratches, dents, playing marks, scratches on the pickguard, numerous dents on the body side, noticeable scratches on the buckle, numerous small dents in the paint, scratches on the back of the neck, scratches and dents on the headstock, and dullness on the metal parts, but none of these affect playability. It has been fully serviced at our shop, so it’s ready to play right away.
The frets have been filed and are ready to use. Approximately 80% of the frets remain.
The nut is in good condition and can be used as is. The truss rod can be adjusted normally.
The electrical system has been fully checked and there are no problems with operation.
