This beautiful looking and playing axe is a ’62 Ultimate Relic Stratocaster in Torino Red Masterbuilt by the very talented Andy Hicks at the Fender Custom Shop. This Music Zoo classic has been tweaked out with roasted alder for the body and an incredibly sturdy roasted quartersawn piece of maple for the neck, carved to a comfy ’60 Oval “C”. A trio of ’60 Custom Shop pickups are onboard to provide the tone. The wear patterns are intricate throughout the body, and we love the feel of the finish being removed from 90% of the neck for that smooth played-in feel to the wood.
