Gibson Flying V FF-82 Frankfurt Musikmesse Natural 1982

This is a very rare Flying V from Gibson, known as the FF-82 model built for the 1982 Frankfurt Messe trade festival. It was the first reissue of the original 1958 Flying V, from the raised Gibson logo on the headstock to the use of korina for the body and neck. Only 100 of these guitars were produced, all for the European markets. The guitar is in overall very good condition; there are lacquer check lines through the neck pocket, with some running down the inside of the V as well. There is a replaced nut and a possible refret with narrow-tall style frets – the guitar feels and plays wonderfully. It’s incredibly lightweight, with the original hardshell case included.
