With the new Florence model, Sandberg pays an impressive tribute to the fat bass sounds of the seventies. The Sandberg Florence is a retro, straightforward short-scale bass with a single Power Humbucker. The alder body in combination with the bolt-on mahogany neck provide a fine tonal balance. The controls are simple: you have a volume and tone control, with an additional push/pull function for two different tone cuts. This way, the Florence works ideally with any amplifier, whether you use – for example – a swampy Ampeg or a pointy Eich amp. The single Power Humbucker sits exactly in the “sweet spot” on the body for maximum sustain. Like every Sandberg, the Florence comes with a Gigbag.
